Reimagine and Expand the Heritage Park Library – Building for Our Future

Heritage Park Library is a place where generations of Irvine’s children have learned and thrived, I see firsthand the need for a refresh and expansion to meet the growing demands of our community. As the busiest library in the Orange County system, it's clear that Heritage Park is ready for a transformation. As your councilmember, I would ensure our local libraries are modern, vibrant spaces that fully support our families and the future of District 3. By investing in the Heritage Park Library, we will meet the needs of our city today and for generations to come.

Hold the Orange County Power Authority (OCPA) Accountable

Tens of thousands of Irvine residents were automatically enrolled in the Orange County Power Authority in 2022 without their knowledge. They were switched from Southern California Edison with very little warning, and most didn’t know it happened. They were enrolled in OCPA at the highest tiered level, paying more than if they stayed with SCE. Now, OCPA continues to make a ton of money at the expense of Irvine residents. If I’m elected, I will hold OCPA accountable, by either making sure their rates are lower than Edison’s, or that the profits of the OCPA get channeled back to the community as benefits. No Irvine resident should be taken advantaged of – not on my watch.

Support the Veterans Memorial Park in the Great Park

In 2019, I learned from a trusted commercial property appraiser that Irvine's City Council planned to swap 125 acres designated for a Veterans Park at the former El Toro Marine base for less desirable land, leading to a poor financial deal for Irvine taxpayers. Motivated to protect this land, I spearheaded a campaign with over 150 volunteers to collect nearly 20,000 signatures to re-zone the original site for a Veterans Park, culminating in a successful city council vote in 2020 to approve the plan. With a recent approval to commence the development of a 20-acre Memorial Park and botanical gardens on this historic site, I am now running for Irvine City
